If you noticed, which if you frequent this site you probably already have, we have made a few changes! We hope you like what you see, and stop by more often. Let me explain a few of the changes on here, and in general with our youth group..
First, new theme and new picture! We have changed the name to “UNLEASH” as we want our youth to Unleash their God potential into the world and positively affect lives around them. We are also changing the name slightly to a “Movement” rather than a group. The idea is simple, a movement is not stationary. We don’t want to sit around, but be a Movement that is Unleashed into the world around us and bring a saving knowledge and faith to our family and friends.
We will continue to make changes to how things are going Sunday mornings, and we hope you enjoy what you see, but more importantly get caught up in the Movement and “Share, Build, Reach” for Christ!!

We are having the annual youth Christmas party this Thursday night, December 15th, from 7-8:30pm at the old church building. Hot-dogs, chips, and pop will be provided, and we will be having a “white elephant” gift exchange! ”White Elephant” is a gag gift that you can buy, or be something completely random that you want to get rid of. If you want to buy something, keep it cheap! Please wrap it up (but don’t worry if it’s not wrapped perfectly) and bring it with you..

You better watch out, you better not cry, you better not pout, I’m tellin’ you why..Santa Claus Is Comin To MEDWAY!!!!
If you haven’t heard yet, Breakfast With Santa, Medway’s annual best event of the year, is coming up this Saturday (December 10th)! We are asking any regular member who is coming or bringing a kid to meet Santa, to be at the new church by 8am in order to allow our guests to see Santa from 9-11am. You really don’t want to miss this event, so tell all your friends and bring a few with you..

Just a head’s up that this Thursday will be the last TNL until our Christmas party next month, but we are still going to Young’s Dairy this Saturday at 4pm!!
Thanksgiving is around the corner and Christmas will approach soon after that, so we are planning a youth group Christmas party on December 15th! It will be the same time, 7-8:3opm at the old church building, and we will be doing some crazy fun things (like a white elephant gift exchange). Plan on being there, we will celebrate the holidays as a youth group together!!

SOOOO…
Last week we decided to do something completely random, not sure how it would turn out, and planned it all this week. Got to the old church, still not sure how it would play out, and when everyone arrived we informed them of the rules of the event: find random items to make something, or create something with..but we aren’t telling you what you are making/creating until you get back!
Everyone broke into small groups, went their own ways, and 40 minutes later (one group with an extra kid in tow) came back to the old church building with a million random items, which made it look like a a giant flea market! lol
Michelle started calling out random things: dress up like lady gaga, recreate something from the Titanic, dress up like the Black Eyed Peas, build a tent, and create an 80′s hair band with 4 members. Everyone went wild trying to randomly and frantically put miss-matched items together to come up with the winning combination!
Let’s just say, the kids and leaders had a blast, and the parents gave us strange glances as they came in to find random items being placed back in the church! We hope you had fun, as much fun as we had watching you all let out your inner creativity!!
Medway not only has the best breakfast, pastor, messages, and worship teams around, but also the best youth group and leaders as well! If you weren’t there last night, here’s what you missed..
Imagine someone rolling a dice, each time yelling out when a “6″ is rolled. Every time that “6″ is yelled out you have to put on a winter coat, hat, and scarf, only to attempt picking up regular M&M’s out of a bowl with a plastic knife and transferring them to a cup. But the trick is, you don’t know when the “6″ is coming, and may only have half the outfit on when you have to pass the wardrobe onto the next person to attempt quickly changing into the disguise and move the M&M’s and your team to victory! There were M&M’s all over the place, laughing, hysteria, and adrenaline flowing as the kids and leaders raced to be the first to empty their bowls without falling over laughing at each other and the other teams!

If you are keeping up with this youth group, we are moving the previous location of the youth group from the new church, to the old church building starting this week!
We have a TON of fun stuff planned for the kids, although Thursday nights are going to look different, and sometimes may require us to take visits off campus (like to Young’s Dairy, or a possible corn maze trip).
So keep checking back, we will update you with all the activities!!
Just a reminder!!
Tomorrow is going to be a lot of fun, but you must be in grades 6-12, or an adult leader, and everyone needs to sign the release form we passed out at church last week (though we will have extra’s tomorrow).
Meet at the new church to leave at 8am, yes 8am does exist on a Saturday, the place is I-70 paintball located in Huber Heights (www.i70paintball.com). The cost is $35 for: the field fee, a gun, 500 paint balls, all day air, and a mask…but you can buy more paintballs at the prices below.

Hey guys!
We are having an Open House at the new church this Saturday, October 1st, from 3-7pm! There will be games, live music, and lots of things for the whole family to do! But we need help for any student in the Jr High or Sr High youth group to help out! Get ahold of Ryan to find out what you can do, even if you can just make it for a few hours, we can use all the help! We look forward to serving the community together with you..
